On February 23 and 24, the long-awaited opening of the Kids & Robots Robotics Club took place in Fontanka. We want to thank the children who, with their zeal, showed us how important we are doing, and the parents who gave us the opportunity to introduce children to the world of robotics and mechanics.

Over the course of two holidays, boys and girls from 4 years of age and older attended various master classes on the basics of mechanics, mechanics of the Technic Club, initial robotics and Mindstorms robotics. Yes, you read correctly, at the master classes there were also girls who were interested in the design and operation of mechanisms no less than boys. Master classes for children from 4 years old introduced children to the new mechanism and physical phenomena that affect its performance. Kids independently assembled the mechanism, after which they checked its performance. At the master classes in Robotics and Mechanics of the Technic Club, the guys got acquainted with the first mechanisms in their lives, collected unique designs and began to master the programming environment. Since this was the first experience of children, we prepared the main program in advance, and at the master classes the young engineers already added it, thereby creating a unique mechanism.

While the children were passionate about the master classes, parents watched their new hobby and successes in it. It was very pleasant to see that, after the master classes, the parents, together with the children, decided to continue to develop their knowledge in the field of technical sciences and signed up for the course they liked for further training.

Starting next week, our club will work in a lesson mode. Together with our future students, we will master the mechanics and robotics, as well as prepare for the upcoming Kids & Robots festivals and olympiads.
